ITIC Training Program
The ITIC conducts training to help countries establish national and regional tsunami warning and mitigation systems. The ITP-Hawaii is based in Hawaii and brings participants to Hawaii to learn about Hawaii's working end-to-end system. The ITP-International allows for international experts to visit a tsunami-prone country to engage a much larger and broader set of stakeholders. The Course Manual gives an overview of the different essential topics and provides guidance templates that participants use to develop their tsunami warning and emergency response standard operating procedures that are essential for successful warning. Electronic materials supplement the course manual and provided additional references.

Strengthening Tsunami Warning and Emergency Responses: One-week Training Workshop on the development of End-to-End Tsunami Standard Operating Procedures
The UNESCO Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) Strengthening Tsunami Warning and Emergency Responses End-to-End Standard Operating Procedures Training Workshop was developed to support the IOC’s effort to assist countries in developing and strengthening their tsunami warning operations. To support the introductory one-week Training Workshop, this Training Manual was compiled and provided in hard copy and electronic formats. The Manual includes reference, best practice, decision support tools, and templates and guidance materials covering key components, requirements, and activities to enable an effective and timely warning and evacuation against tsunamis.
